Position: Game Operations Coordinator
I. SUMMARY
The New York Islanders in Brooklyn seek a Game Presentation Coordinator. Under general direction and supervision, this position is responsible for managing auditions and supervising live entertainment programs. The incumbent oversees and maintains video and audio libraries and game broadcast archives. The incumbent should be a highly motivated and creative self-starter with an unparalleled work ethic and the desire to be the best. The Game Presentation Coordinator reports to the Senior Manager of Game Presentation.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Assists in preparing scripts and timing sheets for game night staff;
– Assists in the management of all elements of Game Presentation;
– Provides support during the creative and execution process of all on-ice and in-game promotions;
– Helps develop new and creative in-game and in-arena entertainment including video pieces, fan interactive elements, entertainment teams;
– Assists in the development and execution of the company’s different theme nights;
– Creates schedule for games and events for various members of the Game Night Staff;
– Helps maintain the monthly Event Presentation Calendars, providing information on Game Presentation department activity;
– Works in conjunction with Corporate Partnership, Ticket Sales & Service, Marketing, Broadcast and other departments to ensure all contractual elements are fulfilled;
– Assists with the creative planning and execution of New York Islanders video shoots;
– Assists in the planning and execution of the Company’s orientation for Game Night staff;
– Ensures the Company is maintaining updated inventory measures with regard to props, and other Game Presentation items;
– Assists and serves as liaison for the New York Islanders externally and inter-departmentally with Operations, Ticket Sales & Service, Corporate Partnership and Marketing department(s);
– Assists with the training of other personnel in Game Day production, along with floor management and promotion execution;
– Interacts with NHL league office to utilize league-supplied music, acts, video, as well as develop relationships with team counterparts;
– Develops and maintain vendor relationships;
– Other duties as assigned by Senior Manager of Game Presentation.
III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education and/or Experience
– Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field;
– Minimum of 2-3 years experience required in entertainment;
– Experience working in game presentation for a professional franchise required.
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
– Must possess knowledge of filing techniques and schedules in order to maintain accurate records;
– Must be able to maintain an organized and detailed calendar and schedule;
– Must be technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access);
– Must have the ability to maintain impeccable professional behavior and appearance;
– Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others, and company documents and records;
– Must have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal conflict resolution, and problem solving skills;
– Must have truly outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
– Must have good decision-making skills, solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness;

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS
A. Travel Requirements: Infrequent Traveler (less than 20% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a very limited basis. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
B. Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
C. Work Environment: The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend all games as well as other events as needed.
